Summer in Chicago: Art Institute of Chicago

Chicago / Friday

One of the things you learn about being a student is that it gives you access to places that you won’t usually have access to. And sometimes, that access is free.

This is case with the Art Institute of Chicago. Tucked away at the far end of Millennium Park, it is one of the best art museums in the world. Also, Northwestern students have year-round free access.

So I saw that there was a lecture on one of the most influential designers of the century, Georg Jensen, it was no brainer what this week’s post was going to be about.

Recording of any kind was not allowed so I didn’t get any footage. You can find more about the lecture here. Here’s a link about Georg Jensen.

If you’re in Chicago any time of the year, the Art Institute is a place to check out.
